Dead Horses isn’t a band in the conventional sense. Rather, it’s an intimate, folk-inspired conversation between two close friends: guitarist/singer Sarah Vos and bassist Daniel Wolff. This Milwaukee-based pair weaves together a vibrant patchwork of classic and contemporary influences that connect traditional roots with indie folk and other experimental musical idioms. Dead Horses has toured extensively, charting on the Americana Top 50 radio charts, accruing more than 20 million spins on Spotify, and being named a Rolling Stone “Artist You Should Know.” Through it all, the union of Sarah’s emotive songwriting with Dan’s intrepid bass playing transcends genre to create songs that are personal, revelatory, and redemptive.
