“Incredible band bringing great songs to full life.” - Rob Moore, 91.1 The Avenue
An evening led by two powerhouse performers, united in song. Steve March-Tormé, acclaimed vocalist, son of legendary crooner Mel Tormé, and host of 91.1 The Avenue, brings his signature smooth style and rich storytelling to the stage. Tormé joins forces with Michael Murphy, a Wisconsin-born, Nashville-based singer/songwriter known for his heartfelt Americana and rock-infused compositions. The two artists’ joint performance centers around a full-album performance of Elton John’s 1970 masterpiece Tumbleweed Connection, as well as a curated selection of other 1970 songs written by James Taylor, Crosby, Stills & Nash, The Band, James Gang, Chicago, and more. Together, Tormé and Murphy take audiences on a nostalgic journey through one of the most musically transformative years in modern history.
